What we collect
- What you type into our forms: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, the property you have in mind, your budget, dates for a visit, and any questions you add.
- Free guide requests: your first and last name, your email, the island you are interested in (if you give it), the guide you chose, and your choice about emails, with the date and time.
- Calculators: only if you press “Send this estimate to Gerald”, we receive the numbers you entered and the contact details you typed.
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, email or phone.
- Routine technical records: like most websites, our web host keeps basic server records (such as your IP address, the time and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to you, arrange viewings, prepare estimates and send the guide you asked for.
- To send you occasional Bahamas property updates, only if you ticked the box saying you want them.
- To keep the records a real estate business needs, and to meet legal duties.
Who sees it
Gerald Petty and the Bahamaland Realty team. The companies that host this website and carry our email help us run the site. When you ask for help with a purchase or sale, we may share what is needed with the professionals involved, such as attorneys, surveyors, lenders and other agents. We do not sell your information.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy also apply.
Other websites
Some links and features take you to other services: the Bahamas MLS property search, WhatsApp, and social sharing sites. Our pages also load their lettering from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when you open a page. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Emails and unsubscribing
Every update email tells you how to stop. You can also tell us at any time, by email or WhatsApp, that you no longer want emails, and we will remove you from our list.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us (for example while we are helping you, or while you want updates), and for as long as business records or the law require. After that we delete it.
Keeping it safe
This website uses HTTPS. Our contact lists are kept in a private area that needs a login, and only people we have approved can open it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us bank details, passwords or ID numbers through the website forms.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop emails. Contact us using the details above.

This website is for adults and is not directed at children.
